The wool for this yarn is from a ranch near the Smith River in Montana where purebred Targhee sheep are raised for their beautiful natural color fleece. The fleece is heavily skirted and taken to Mountain Meadow Fiber Mill in Wyoming to be processed into combed top and then spun into this lovely 2-ply yarn. The yarn is NOT dyed — this is the natural color, a medium to charcoal grey with brown undertones.
Skeins are 4 oz and approximately 350 yards.
